"Stayed overnight on a Friday, and I needed to be at a venue for am, n ot realising that breakfast on a weekend begins at 8am! The staff were great and made me a drink and hot bap to go so I had something inside me. My partner went for the breakfast and absolutely loved it!"

"Beautiful accommodation. Friendly staff. Great price including a wonderful breakfast."

"All good . Quiet location Superb breakfast The Fat Abbot is very good too"

"Quiet with parking. The restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. The room was ok. We almost locked ourselves in because the door handle fell off."

"Cute hotel, good location, modern, and nice to have the tavern attached for a drink and breakfast, but the double room was very small and with no closet, drawers or anywhere to put suitcases we had little floor space left. Too cramped for a couple but probably great for one person. Also it's loud if you have a room facing the square. I would stay again, but in a larger room at the back of the hotel."

"The hotel had a 'run down' feeling and we were disappointed that there was no breakfast on offer."

"The room and hotel worked for what it was offering! I enjoyed my stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful, but the door to the room I was staying in wasn’t working properly so I did run into some minor issues there. Other than that, it was very smooth sailing! Would recommend!"

"Beautiful hotel and staff"

"Charming National Trust Queen Anne House now hotel. Excellent service, good food and magnificent garden. Rooms pretty decent and deserving of 4 stars. Very pleasant two day stay."

"Hotel is central. Bed is small for two and you hear noise for the other rooms."

Plenty if tea and coffee, and if you ran out you could get more from a dish on the landing also a sweet treat if you needed it, which I thought was a nice touch. It was a bit away from restaurants and the main shopping but public buses stopped just down the road and was easy to catch and came regularly if you didn’t have a car. If you did have a car there seemed...

"Was a beautiful stay, the room was really clean, the property well maintained. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again or advise anyone to stay ☺️ thankyou!"

"This is my favourite place to stay. Clean rooms with everything you need for a short stay. The food is amazing and plenty of choice. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend"

"Lovely anniversary weekend, couldn't fault it at all."

"Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...
