Hotel Faubourg Montreal

"Let’s start with the good. The hotel has underground parking which is super easy and reasonable if you get the Expedia discount. The room was quite large and the beds comfortable. The kitchenette is great and makes it easy to bring food or order in. The staff is very friendly and check in and out was easy. The hotel is conveniently located near Chinatown for cheap eats and only a couple of blocks from St Laurent metro. It’s also a very quite hotel. I couldn’t hear my neighbors. On the negative side. The room is badly in need of a refresh. The laminate is peeling off, our window handle was snapped off, the bathroom tiles are cracked. The carpets aren’t the cleanest looking. Our bedside lamp only turned off or on by plugging it in. The switch was broken. It’s a shame because the room is quite large. It appears at one point in the history of the hotel it was built for long term stays since the kitchenette has many cabinets and even a dishwasher. My biggest complaint though is why have a kitchen with no utensils, plates, bowls, or glasses. You can ask for them, but they give you wooden utensils and paper products. I felt like I was in a mental hospital and couldn’t be trusted with sharp objects. At least the sheets and towels were clean as was the bathroom. They could do a better job dusting, especially the dressers and desk. Overall for the price it’s not bad. I would stay there again."

"The pool was fabulous- although 1 hot tub did not work and they never fixed it in the 5 days we were there. Also 3 elevators - 2 broken never fixed. The location is great - easy access to everything."

"This is an excellent choice if you're seeking an affordable hotel conveniently positioned within walking distance of Chinatown and popular tourist destinations. Public transportation options, including metro and bus services, are readily available nearby. While the rooms could benefit from some refreshing updates, the accommodation successfully delivered the essentials—a cozy bed for a restful night's sleep paired with convenient access to major city attractions. The team demonstrated genuine care and flexibility when our initial room had an unpleasant odor; they promptly relocated us to a fresh alternative."
