Getaway to see the falls.
"This place was amazing! Clean and had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. You can't get a better view of Mt. Shasta and about 10 minutes to McCloud falls. Only downside was the town only has places to eat Thursday thru Sunday but Shasta and Dunsmire is pretty close."

Great for a calm getaway
"Great little house for our winter getaway. Beds were a bit firm for me and the wife kids had no problems with them. That was our only gripe and it’s just a personal preference. Didn’t put a damper on our stay though as it was nothing a hot shower in the morning couldn’t take care of. Quaint little ..."

McCloud is a small, relatively quiet town that has not been gentrified. There a few good restaurants and bars and coffee shops that are unpretentious and serve relatively high quality food and drinks. Outdoor options abound all around.

McCloud is a magical place sitting at the base of Mt Shasta’s south flank. You won’t get a better view of Mt Shasta anywhere else in the vicinity of the mountain. The mountain is in full view. Clean water in abundance and fresh air all around!
