"The hotel’s location was beautiful. The staff was amazing. Our complaint is we paid for a deluxe room and what we got was less than stellar. We had one small, not a comfortable chair. our view was of a dead tree and other guests' room windows. Our mattress/bed was horrible. The only nice thing about the room was the bathroom. We celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary and the room was nothing I would ever want to stay in again. We had friends staying at the hotel and their room was gorgeous....

"We rented this property for my bachelorette weekend and it was the perfect lowkey getaway! There were plenty of beds and the rooms were very spacious. The property was beautiful to play games, take a walk, and enjoy the firepit. I was very impressed with how clean and new the house felt. Our only issue was that the party bus got stuck in the driveway due to mud, but that was 100% his fault and not on the property owners at all. So be mindful of that! "Our family has been vacationing at Chautauqua for many years. This is one of our favorite rental properties. Our group of 20, ranging from 2 years old up to 67, had plenty of space. The house was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals, the pool area is great when you want a break from the lake, the fire pit is big enough to accommodate a large group. There's a public launch very close by for kayaks. Our family stays on the lake but there are shops and restaurants close...
