Oak Alley - the name says it all. The old Creole plantation houses are not as fancy as I had imagined, but they are an authentic step back in time. Many of them were only three rooms across and one deep, with wide verandas of course. It's the alleys of centuries old oaks with their Spanish moss that give them majesty.

"Good location. It was more quient than expected because it is across the road from a school so I figured there would be alot fo traffic noise but there wasn't. House was very clean and well maintained. "

The only small problem (which ended up not being a problem at all for us), is that the property is ONLY accessible by boat. They do provide a small barge for you to burrow and they offer a “boat taxi” service. Overall the experience was great, just be prepared for a tiny boat ride across the canal."
