"We had an excellent stay at Donna’s home in Mauna Kea. The house is one of the best-appointed vacation homes we’ve stayed in. Everything felt high quality and thoughtfully set up, from the kitchen equipment and appliances to the furnishings, outdoor areas, and overall amenities. It had everything we needed and made the house very comfortable and easy to enjoy.The location is also fantastic and provided a great base for everything we wanted to do on the Big Island. Donna was wonderful to work with—responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.Overall, this was an outstanding rental and exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality home in the Mauna Kea area."

"The condo was an exceptional place to stay. We only stayed 5 nights. There was a little snag in communication at the end as the cleaner entered the property before we left, and the call tonour phone was a little off-touch, but we were still thankful the host allowed us to extend our check-out due to our special needs. They are very accommodating, which we greatly appreciated. Before arrival, their communication was VERY thorough. Our stay was wonderful, so in the grand scheme it seemed like a very minor miss.As for the condo, the views of the Kohala range are expansive, which is very endearing, and the ocean views were wonderful too. Sunrises and sunsets - incredible!We frequent this side of the island often. Unfortunately, the price of the resort's amenity package continues to rise. I know the price of the condo's in the area are pretty comparable to this one. I just wish the resort would partner more with owners for rental guests on value. However, if you have a party of 5 or 6 it's probably worth it. 150 a day for 2, not so much.Overall, the property was clean and spacious, and the layout was just right. We are making early concessions for next year already. We will gladly stay here again if the ammenity package doesn't increase further. Otherwise, we might decide to look elsewhere to keep the amenities! Again, more than 2 people, this would be a wonderful fit!!"

"Lovely vintage villa at Mauna Kea. Among the many pros: easy walk to the hotel and beach (the new gym and adult pool are fantastic), cheery decor, nice layout, and gorgeous views from the lanai day and night. Two cons: the WiFi did not work during our stay (despite several messages to the property manager, it was never resolved); and an overpowering scent of Raid upon arrival. (I totally understand the bug challenge and the need to mitigate but a less toxic option or timing the spraying to allow time for off gassing would be better for guests). Overall, we loved our stay."

"the condo exceeded every expectation. My husband and I have been coming to Mauna Kea for years but with our growing family we wanted to find more space than a traditional hotel room, but also wanted to be right in the mix with everything we’ve always loved about the location. We could not have been happier with our decision, we had the best week ever. It was the best of all the worlds - more space resort amenities. From kids to grandma who joined us, we were all comfortable and found that there was something for everyone. The view is breathtaking and the condo was immaculate. Super easy to walk to the pool and/or hop on the shuttle (golf cart) to go over to Mauna Kea. The master bedroom was huge - probably the size of a usual hotel room. Our family of four slept in there with a rollaway for our toddler and a crib (rented separate from a company provided by the property manager) for the youngest. The bunk room worked perfect for a solo adult. The beds were comfortable, the couch massive, and from check in to check out everything was simple and low fuss. We can’t wait to return!"
