"I have been in this lodge 2 days with my sons. I liked the style, the view and the staff. But in particular the surrounding area was amazing small rivers, lakes, wildlife was all there! Lions with cubs, a family of hyenas, antelopes, giraffes, wildebeests, bison… beautiful!"

"The Island Safari Lodge is a great option for those staying in Maun to explore the Okavango Delta, Chiefs Island, and Morami. The property is massive with extensive walking trails and wildlife. The entire property is also walled and gated so you won’t encounter dangerous animals. The lodging is a bit dated so think of a higher end cabin experience as opposed to a hotel. The location is a bit secluded and no where near the location stated on Hotels.com. They have it in the city centre which is the main reason why i chose to stay there but in actual fact the location is on the outskirts along a dirt track, off the main road to the east of the river."

"This was a beautiful hidden Inn, the outside appearance does not do it nearly as much justice as it deserves. The interior was modern, well kept and up to date. The rooms were very comfortable. We had a private lounge, and kitchen which was very handy. Its a great place for families travelling together. The staff were also very kind and helpful. Only issue we had was the water from the taps was a bit yellow so it wasnt safe to drink."

"Staff are frendly but i got bed bug bite all over my body~!! And the place is not quite that place on the map. It is more southen place and it is so far from okavanggo delt gate. If you are ok to sleep with bed bug, i recommend the place"

"They canceled our reservation literally at the last minute without any notification whatsoever; leaving us stranded at the Maun Airport. Then the manager refused to give us a refund. Both Expedia and I tried to rectify the situation for over an hour while still at the airport all to no avail. This feels like quite a scam! They took a reservation and almost $300 USD. "We arrived at the Rivernest Boutique Cottages, and were told that they had been overbooked (though we had booked online several months prior) and that we were to be moved. We were sent to a different hotel a few minutes drive away, and given a room. The hotel we were re-booked at was cheaper than Rivernest, and we did not receive a credit or a refund of any kind. We had heard good things about this place, but unfortunately got to experience none of them. Good luck!"
