"Always a wonderful stay here in this gorgeous Georgian Hotel. Very happy to accept our mini dachshund who was able to sit with us at breakfast. Staff were friendly and hospitable as per usual. Always there for anything but not unobtrusive. My wife had a anti aging facial in the spa and felt incredibly relaxed afterwards. The Superior room was spacious and perfect for our 3 night stay. A special mention for the shower which was possibly the best I have had in the UK. Maybe its the waters in Matlock Bath. They do say they are rejuvenating."

"Fully deserved the five star rating. Location and setting are beautiful, the building itself is a lovely, traditional Inn. Our room was in a separate cottage close by and was large and very comfortable. The staff were pleasant, friendly and exceptionally professional. They were all of a high standard but a particular shout-out for Samantha, who was extremely helpful and thoughtful. The food - both breakfast and dinner - was quite simply sensational. We had a lovely time and will definitely visit again"

"We have been very happy with the whole experience. The accommodation, food, and helpful people. The only issue I had and would warn others is getting to and from the car park. The property is situated on a junction with the A6 which means taking extreme care when crossing to and from the car park."

"Lovely house. If you have walking issues we found to many steps to the house. Beautiful views .Downstairs toilet would have been good. Outside sitting area very nice. Maybe needs hand rail on the steps. We all had a lovely time there."

"Fantastic stay – highly recommend!We had a wonderful stay at this property. Right from the beginning, the host’s instructions were spot on and really helpful, making check-in and our overall stay completely seamless.The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxed visit. A highlight for us was definitely the arcade machine—it was a huge hit and provided so much fun!We would definitely love to stay again and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great getaway. Thank you for hosting us!"

"Perfect B&B. Sue and John were very welcoming and couldn't have done more for us. Room was very spacious and comfortable. It was well equipped with lots of attention to detaill. Everything was spotlessly clean in the room and the communal areas. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice . Only downside was the road which was a bit challenging but we got used to it!"
