"Rooms are beautiful, plenty of amenities, we felt the standard of cleaning each day was excellent! Breakfast is outstanding, a lovely platter + anything off the menu + free refills of whatever drink you like! Area is wonderful especially for hiking, especially recommend Chatsworth grounds. Will be coming again for certain!"

"Over het algemeen was het goed ,klein probleem met plug vh bad en in begin met de stroom omdat deze automatisch weer uitschakeld uit veiligheids oogpunt .verder wel erg vriendelijk en goed ontbijt over all toch wel een 8,5 op 10."

"Lovely 3 night stay at the Fountain Tea Rooms. Beds were really comfortable, breakfast outside on the terrace in Bonsal was amazing, and then a super friendly team running the B&B.. Will definitely stay again!"

Florence Nightingale Suites at Lea Hurst

"A very special place to stay as this was the family home of Florence Nightingale. We stayed in two bedrooms which were the rooms that she grew up in before she went to Crimea. This is not a hotel. It’s more of a guest house with a few of the rooms rented out on a nightly basis. The property is accessed through several gates so it’s on very private land. The views are amazing of the local countryside and there’s a very beautiful garden around the house and sheep in the fields a little further away. The host at the House house may change in the future but we had a lovely lady from Ukraine called Svitlana who made us most welcome staying at the house. She made us a wonderful breakfast in the morning to order and did everything we asked to help and made our stay very pleasant. Beware there are no TV in the bedroom but there was a TV in the lounge downstairs. Some of the downstairs rooms could be used for an intimate breakfast with great views into the countryside. The Location was perfect for visiting Matlock and Matlock Barth with the attractions of Abraham Heights,fish and chip shops along the river Derwent, etc and it was a 30 minute drive to Chatsworth and Bakewell and Haddon Hall. Overall I would highly recommend a few nights at this location especially given the hospitality from Svitlana and the historic nature of the house"
