"A lovely modern, clean and very comfortable apartments. 10 min walk from the station and a 5 min walk to the beach. The beds were very comfortable, rooms had great aircon and electric shutters to block out all light. Very stylish, clean, and spacious for a family of four. Would stay again and again - loved it!"

The air conditioning does not work properly, it took a full day to barely start feeling the room cooldown and then suddenly just stopped; almost unbearable. "Traditional resort hotel, the Bella Riviera is very central in Viareggio, on the main beach road. As a solo traveller I usually have to tolerate a windowless room behind stairs, so I was delighted to be given a lovely room at the front with a balcony and a sea view. The daily cleaning kept the room and en-suite spotless, the breakfast was a varied buffet and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the noisy air con. "
