"Our unit was fairly clean, but the bathrooms definitely needed some attention. Also, the toilets were very low and the bathroom is very small. Bathtub was extremely slippery. The two bedroom unit was spacious and we had a place to hang out with the other couple we were traveling with and also eat in our unit. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub although the chlorine was a little strong and the pool was not heated as stated. The activities were definitely underwhelming. Overall, it was a convenient location and a good amount to do but property definitely needs to be updated."

"Unbelievable value! Beautiful property well-maintained. Very clean rooms. It’s so nice to turn on the television and have everything work! The check-in process took a little longer than I would like… I arrived at 5:30 PM and check in time started at 4 o’clock, I assume it was their ““ rush-hour. I will definitely stay here again!"

"The historical significance of this property is reason alone to visit. George Washington's great grandfather established a plantation there in 1642. While original buildings were burned, the owners have restored according to drawings and records. There's a cemetery on property with graves from 1600s. Attention to service was outstanding and personal."

"We stayed from Friday to Monday. We did not have any service to the room. We asked a lady that was cleaning other rooms for more coffee and shampoo (empty container at the shower) amd she said it was not her room in her list. So, no towels, shampoo or coffee. Very disappointing. Other than that, it is a OK hotel."

"I didn’t like it. In one building it had those centipedes on floor and in room. Hallways dirty.No room service until you check out. Had to ask for towels"
Restored 1930s Cottage on 1 Acre w/ Fire Pit

"Great place to relax and enjoy a quiet setting which is still close to Yorktown and Williamsburg. Pet friendly with room to walk. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and all appliances. Catesby was a wonderful host and always reachable by phone. Nice porch and outdoor fire pit which would have been used more except that it was August."
