The staff was so friendly and helpful! Communication was superb! The location was great. There were three restaurants within a short walk and we found free parking reasonably close. We arrived late due to car trouble, but the staff gave us great directions with a video. We had to carry bags a ways including some stairs, but staying in the Sassi was worth it.

Nice room, excellent commutation from the staff. A little bit of a walk down some steps to get there, you may struggle with heavy cases. Well worth staying there though

Staff was great and helpful on finding the place! The room was so cool and unique, I would say the only downside was the room got very humid. That might just be because of the caves but otherwise everything was clean and centrally located. We loved it!

Room was grand - beyond expectations! Bathtub a real treat to soak in after a day of hiking! Breakfast buffet exceptional! Communication was not great leading up to our check-in, and the city tax in Italy not mentioned until after we checked out..

Walking distance to dining and views. Easy to get around if you can manage on foot. Nice simple breakfast. No hot items. Coffee, baked goods, fruit and toaster. Shower has a glass door/wall that opens into the bedroom.

We had a wonderful stay here. Our room (for 3 adults) was very comfortable, clean, and had a stunning view. The hotel is located in a ZTL (limited traffic) zone, so we couldn’t drive directly to it and had to walk from the parking garage, which takes about 10 minutes. It can be a bit challenging with luggage, but it wasn’t too bad. On the way back, we took a taxi, but the non-ZTL area isn’t far from the hotel, so driving to that point or taking the public bus (which runs every 20 minutes and stops just a few steps from the hotel) are also good options. The breakfast room is a little bit tight, but it works well for its purpose. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. I definitely recommend this place, and I’ll be coming back—requesting the same room (Terra)!

We had the best view from our room and it was amazing, day and night. The property was interesting, rustic and well maintained. The beds were comfortable.. Good communication from Carmen as our flight was delayed and we arrived late at nighr in Matera. I highly reccommend this place.

The apartment was very nice, ckean spacious, and accessible to everything. We appreciated the attention to details. Thank you all very much. I'd like to let you know that the out door patio lights were NOT working. Maybe a bulb issue. That provided a security issue for all of your guest, but especially for the elderly ones. Safety first

This hotel is fantastic! This clean, modern room situated in a cave is such a unique experience. The location is ideal for catching the sunset on the city backdrop. Let's not forget the delicious breakfast on a lovely morning deck.
