The Tower Motel is in a great location, just minutes from downtown, restaurants and cafes and from all kinds of wonderful hikes as well as Hobbiton The rooms were sparkling clean and the little kitchenettes had every amenity. We would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Madamata area.

Lovely motel in the heart of Matamata. Clean rooms, easy parking, great amenities within the room, and lovely setting, including farmland, horses, and a wonderful walking path right outside the hotel. Also, very close to Hobbiton and for visiting the area around this lovely city.

We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, and the room was very clean and well organised. The bathroom, towels, shower, microwave, dishes, and hand wash were all provided — almost everything we needed was available. It is a perfect place to stay for a night after finishing a Hobbiton tour.

Great spot just on the outskirts of Matamata, quiet and cute and comfortable. You could walk into town on a nice day, but we drove in since it was spring and rainy or overcast. Lovely spot, would stay again!
