Summit Motor Lodge

"Very run down, could do with a make over. Shower only had a curtain. A little noisy from the main road and other rooms. A little pricey at $208 for one night."

City Suites Tauranga

"Room was perfect for our one night stay, very clean, modern and private. Great location, central to lots of eateries."
The Atrium Apartments
10/10 Excellent
"Very well located property, easy walking distance to the beach, and town. Staff were very friendly and accommodating with any request. We did have an issue connecting the wi-fi, but a quick trip to reception had it sorted out. I highly recommend this place."
Opal Hot Springs & Holiday Park
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay ! The cabin was clean and comfortable with a good shower and toilet. Had basic cooking facilities including a microwave and fridge. Comfortable bed, although a little small for a couple. The pool area was well maintained and the big pool was long enough to do laps and warm enough in the winter to use. It’s handy to the Kaimais, Hobbit Town and there is a supermarket 6 minutes drive. Parking was supplied next to the cabin."
Oceanside Resort & Twin Towers
8/10 Good
"Had a comfortable stay, the location is perfect if you’re here for the beach ! Sad that the hot pools and the Mountain are now closed to the public, but still plenty to do. The gym and pools are good, although the hot pool smelt of coconut oil, which was a bit weird. But it’s hard to fault the complex, which is well designed and clean. However I have yet to be offered, or had the option to stay in the ‘twin towers’, in fact I suspect they are not part of the Oceanside accommodation, so prepare for that disappointment. The other issue I had was parking, my park had a pillar in the way and a HUGE 4x4 in the neighbouring park which ment it was nearly impossible to get my car in, I ended up incurring $1000 of un-insurable damage when I caught my car on the pillar, this really left a sour taste in my mouth as other people have complained about it in the past. The VERY LEAST they can do is put some padding on the pillars, but why not make the parks with pillars in them a little wider ?? Anyway, I’d still recommend staying here, just watch your parking !"
