"Very clean place, excellent staff. Only problem was overhead fan did not work. Breakfast was limited and expected to go back to room to clean eat? So not my fav. However, facilities, rooms, location was absolutely beautiful and wonderful. Yes I would choose to stay again very lovely. Thank you"

"This is one of the best places I've been to. The kitchen is very stocked with utensils and basic necessities. Loved watching the wildlife in the yard while we had dinner. Very northwoods we had no complaints. If the need arises I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to you again for a rental. Thank you so much"
Rustic Cabin Steps From The Water On Star Lake

"My family had a decent stay at Bear Cottage. We were definitely surprised by the lack of wifi, which the property manager confirmed would be removed from the listing to avoid future confusion. I definitely would not have booked this place at this price had I known there would be no wifi. We also saw a TV in the listing that was not there, just an old radio in its place that barely got reception. We have a 6 year old, so 7 days without any sort of outside contact or stimulation was a bit difficult. We managed by visiting my in laws at their camp site down the road (where oddly, we got great reception). We are big Star Lake fans and always appreciate a chance to get out to the Northwoods. We loved the history and charm behind the cottage, and made some great memories there. Thanks for sharing it with us!"
