This is a ski resort from the '60's that has been recently refurbished. It was perfect for our overnight stay to visit the Porcupine Mountains. Our room was in the main building on the first floor and was updated and clean, quiet in the offseason of September, and the mattress was very comfortable. With the included breakfast of homemade scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola bars, we found it to be a good value. We also highly recommend the Iron Nugget restaurant in Hurley for dinner - excellent food, service, and ambience - a hidden gem.

The dog friendly room could only be reached by a metal mesh walkway. My dog wouldn't/couldn't walk on it. I had to carry her 34 lbs each way. The signage did not say Snowy Mountain on it so was confusing to get there the first time. I had a studio that was suppose to sleep 4. It was fine for one but would have been cramped for 4. It had the smallest bathroom sink I've ever seen. It was clean, and had a nice view.

We love the hot tub, pool and sauna. The breakfast is great with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and tator tots. Friendly and helpful staff. We have been on the ski chair ride to see the fall colors in the past and it was fun. A nice place to take a short walk, with a pond and views of the ski hills. We go here every year when visisting my mother and always look forward to staying here.

We recently stayed two nights at The Lodge at the Snowriver Mountain Resort. The resort is not clearly marked; maybe "The Lodge" should appear as part of the name. The room (212) contained 2 comfortable queen size beds with crisp white sheets and a total of 8 pillows. It also had a small table with 3 chairs: a great idea! There was a walk-in shower in a tiny bathroom with no grab bars and only one towel rank. The shower controls the hot water for both the shower and the sink...a little tricky to mange but a nice shower. The bar and restaurant within The Lodge was not open except for breakfast, which was very good (scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon sausage, fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, juice, and coffee). Jack's Bar & Grille on the property offers a limited menu of food and drinks. It is cashless and not very inviting.

Stayed at this resort for one night, as we made our way through town on a road trip. For the price it was a fair deal. The whole property looked like it's main areas recently received an upgrade but you can tell the rooms need some maintenance, repair and fresh coats of paint. There was also a lot of weird smells inside. The pool, hot tub and sauna amenities were really nice to have although the pool area could use an upgrade as a lot of the surfaces were chipping paint and concrete. Lots of potential, good location for one night. Not sure I would stay for several nights.
