"lovely hotel very helpful staff and dinner at the restaurant they own was very good. Lovely village too although too steep for me to climb to the top. May well stay on the way back home as very impressed although the restaurant will be closed on a Tuesday but there are other eateries in the village. Near the motorway which is a bonus"

"The Novotel in Clermont-Ferrand was conveniently just off the autoroute. Good protected parking and very efficient check-in. (And they are DOG FRIENDLY). Rooms are what you expect, although our room was way too warm and even we couldn't regulate the temperature satisfactorily. Not sure what was going on, but the thermostat was not responding.
