"Getting a bit expensive "

"Have stayed in The Unicorn many times in the past and have been very satisfied however this particular room lacked in a few small things. One side of the double bed did not have any surface to place personal items such as watch, phone and wallet or cash etc. Because of the exceptional large bed there was not enough room for a bedside cabinet on that side but maybe a small shelf would be handy. Also one side of the bed had a light switch but it didn’t appear to do anything, I would have expected...

They’re clean, comfy and small touches like crisps and biscuits top off a lovely place. The hosts are very nice and they’re very welcoming within the pub aswell which serves outstanding food. "

"Nice enough staff. The pub looked like a 1970’s Benidorm recreation of a British pub with a ceiling full of beer mats. Food was ok but a little overpriced for pub grub. The outside area was filthy. The doors to the outbuildings that house the rooms were ramshackle. The rooms themselves looked like they were last decorated about 30 years ago. The TV was a 20 year old mini tv with free view that didn’t hold the signal. Neither tv or kettle had a PAT testing sticker. The bathroom was grubby...

"The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It is off the beaten track but easy to find with GPS. The food was very good. The service was very good and the manageress was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet. "
