"The staff were ever so helpful. A lot of the staff spoke multiple languages, which helped a lot. (I am only English speaking) Catered for gluten free and offered oat and soya milk. Fully stocked fridge with beer, water and soft drinks. 5 mins walk from the highstreet. 20 min walk to vitra museum. Only rated 4/5 for condition because there was ongoing maintenance which I wasn’t aware of. However this didn’t disrupt our stay. The room was perfect and breakfast was great. "

"My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Schwarzmatt for several days, and couldn't not have felt better taken care of by the warm, friendly and excellent staff. Both the hotel and restaurant staff are sincerely caring about the quality of service they deliver to guests. On top of that the Schwarzmatt is a lovely property, meticulously maintained. "Hotel is very conveniently located in the center of the city. Daily breakfast buffet is awesome, staff is. Wry friendly, rooms a clean and modern. Hotel should update their towels which are small, old and not very comfortable. "

"Working in Basel so booked into a superior room on 9th floor. Very spacious with a table of 4 chairs so easy to work and have dinner. Fan included so no air conditioning unit but comfortable. Nice large windows so lots of breeze. Shower is high pressure so amazing to use and overall very comfortable. Breakfast was continental and lots of options to choose from. Will defo book again! Uber is difficult to call BUT taxi is available on demand at reception."

"We were here last year as well. The hotel has a restaurant as well. The spa in the hotel is nice. There is also a public spa down the street which folks enjoy for a fee."
