"Very helpful staff, decent breakfast. Only one negative, the room was boiling hot and no thermostat in sight. So we just opened the window and contributed to global warming."
"Very loud, all night long loud voices and bad acoustics - felt like people were walking and talking in my room - couldn’t sleep much. Very restless place, no staff seen at all in 3 days, and people were for example drinking vodka in the kitchen in the middle of the day, and it wasn’t even weekend. Room was much smaller than in the pictures. Entrance was a messy backyard of some restaurants."
"Loved staying at. Villa Brinkley! Eric and Annette make the place feel like home. Right across from a beach, fine food, friendly, warm atmosphere. Hoping to return there!!!"

"I was a little hesitant to book here based on some mixed reviews, but I’m very glad that I did. My daughter and I actually stayed here twice, for one night at the beginning of our trip before getting on our cruise to Norway and then stayed another night after we disembarked the ship and before we flew home. We stayed one night in a room not overlooking the canal which was fine, especially because we were tired after a long flight so didn’t care too much about a view. We did upgrade to a canal view room for the other night we stayed and I was glad we did- very nice view but also quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better - quick walk to Nyhavn and to lots of great restaurants and other attractions and to a metro stop (which we took to the main train station to catch the train to Malmo, Sweden… that was a very easy and lovely day trip we did on our final day). The hotel was clean and very quiet. The restaurant aye aye was a little pricy but we had a very good dinner. The one worry that I had after reading reviews was that the room might not be cool enough for sleeping - reviewers complained that the AC did not really work. I have to say that I actually slept fine, despite being someone who normally gets hot while sleeping and the AC (I’m not sure if it’s actually AC or just some sort of air circulation but you can control it within your room) was not very cold or powerful … but again, I actually slept just fine both nights. "This hotel is a great value for money for an urban vacation. Copenhagen is a great city but very expensive so we found the Wake up hotel to be a really great option for my family. The hotel is very centrally located and walkable to almost every interesting place in the city. The staff are super friendly and helpful and really made an extra effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
The rooms are small and were comfortable enough for this kind is urban stay"
"Staff were all incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. Rooms are decorated nicely and appear to be well maintained. The pillow menu is an excellent idea, something more hotels need to pay attention to. I will definitely be returning and very much look forward to my next stay."
"The location of this long hotel is fantastic as it is walkable to many points of interest, directly above the Metro and commuter train stations and even has a bus stop right outside.
There is a grocery store across the street from the hotel as well that is well stocked with fresh produce, ready to eat food, regular grocery and alcohol.
The room is clean, modern and very functional and comfortable.
The best part is the train watching via the adorable juliet balcony, if you get the rooms on that side!"
"The staff were helpful. The parking was fairly easy after instructions. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I are still talking about the food. "
