"The rooms were very clean, staff were nice ,lots of parking, the breakfast was A+, better than expected , will stay there in the future."

"We were a little worried at first, the place is smaller than it looks it pictures. The hallways are a bit narrow however when we got to our room it was roomy and neat. We soon fell in love with the charm of the hotel, the nostalgia. Our bathroom had a tile with a slot to discard used razor blades. All the doors and moldings are original and kept well. The staff was pleasant and attentive when needed. If you want a more modern feel 200 ft down the block is the Penn-wells Lodge which amenities can be used if desired from either place. The Mary Wells Restaurant was the best we found in town, it was fine dining which was impossible to find anywhere within 25 miles of town. It was fine dining also without the price tag, our meals were reasonable. The hotel also has music softly playing from a bygone era which adds to the feeling of going back in time."

"Clean and organized. Well maintained. Secluded area. If you like to get away from it all, its a great stay. The whole family loved it. My kids are set on having the exact cabin for are next trip to tioga. Its a bit far from anything which is exactly what I wanted. The roads leading in to get to the cabin are mountain roads so keep that in mind. I cant wait to visit again."

"WOW! This property is absolutely gorgeous! If you’re looking for peace and tranquility, then this place is for you! So very relaxing. I saw turkey, beautiful birds, and plenty of deer. The sunsets are beautiful! The deck is beautiful! Go sit outside and use the Merlin Bird App, and you will be amazed at all of the beautiful birds around the property. The landscaping is so beautiful. The inside and outside of the house is so clean and spotless. So much is provided for you during your stay. I definitely will be back. Communication with the Host was above and beyond expectations. I give this place a million stars."

"The morning breakfast buffet with eggs and sausage and all the continental breakfast items such as juice, water, coffee, bagels etc. Was excellent start to the day. The room was very nice, did not have a small refrigerator in our room. Double bed was comfortable with nice light with two electric plug outlets right on top of night stand. Parking was right there. Staff was nice and informative."

"This house has character with the original part dating back to the mid-1800's. We have stayed several times as it is close to downtown and has enough space for 4 adults and 2 teenagers.I grew up in Wellsboro and my first grade teacher lived next door to this house."

"If you are looking for a pristine cabin, this rental is not for you. But if you prioritize location and outdoor activities, this property has a lot to offer. Our family spent Memorial Day weekend here and appreciated the row boat (plenty of life jackets at the cabin, we wouldn't have had to take up room in the car packing our own), charcoal grill on the covered porch, and plenty of board games to keep us occupied during the rainy spells. My constructive critique for the owner's would be to differentiate "rustic" from unkept. Without making a single structural change, the cabin rental experience could be vastly improved with attention to some very basic cleanliness and maintenance issues- rodent droppings in kitchen cupboards, someone else's trash in a paperbag inside the trashcan, dusting and wiping down of surfaces throughout. Overall, our family enjoyed the getaway, particularly our time spent on the property grounds."

"The motel was old, decrepit, totally run down, mattress was old & stained with what looked to be blood spots with just a blanket being used as a waterproof mattress cover. The mattress was saggy & broken down. Carpets were threadbare, tattered, & stained. Bathroom was clean but needs major repairs, especially the tile floors. Manager friendly & living on site. Only 1 other occupant was at this entire hotel. Do not stay here"
