"Generally, not a bad place. Could get a bit of modernisation. The room we stayed in was very small and we really struggled to move around, let alone get clothes out of the luggage. We liked breakfasts though, the breakfast area very nice and clean, and the place is dog friendly so overall if you’re planning to spend most of your time on the move, I suppose it doesn’t need to be a 5 star fancy hotel to enjoy your holiday. "

They had a wealth of local knowledge which was very handy. Our room was extremely clean, and our bed was very comfy! We were recently married and our hosts left a beautiful bottle of red wine and a card in our room which was so thoughtful:) we will definitely be staying at The Clifton on Paignton when in England next."

"A lovely welcome and beautiful room and spotlessly clean en-suite. Very spacious and light. The hosts were exceptional and had everything in place for a truly wonderful experience. The breakfast choices were excellent and cooked to perfection. The hotel is situated 10 mins from the beach, harbour, bus station, railway station (steam engines too) very convenient. We managed to visit Brixham and Torquay on the ‘every 10 min’ bus service. "
