"We enjoyed a week's stay at Maketu. It's an excellent place to unwind. Totally recommend Newdicks Beach, which is just over the hill. You have to pay $5 per car to access thru private farmland but it is definitely worth it - beautiful and uncrowded. The house is as advertised. Everything was clean and comfortable. No problems."
