The Stable Courtyard Bedrooms at Leeds Castle

"We had a great stay and really enjoyed having access to the castle grounds so close to our room. We asked for a fan in our room and it was delivered immediately . The restaurant for breakfast was only a minutes walk away and had a stunning view of the castle . The food was of a very high quality and good choice of individually cooked items , plus an extensive buffet. Thoroughly recommend for a special occasion ."

"The hotel was OK, but for the price I felt the room was dated compared to other budget hotels. No air con in our room, light switch controlled ALL lights in the room, so no bedside reading light which is really annoying when there's two or more of you sharing a room. TV channel options seemed to be hit and miss. Other than that breakfast was good and staff were very helpful and pleasant. In terms of location it was ideal, but if I was less fussy about location there are probably better value hotels in Maidstone. Oh and you have to pay for parking, not a massive charge, but just include it in the bill, otherwise it just feels like an unnecessary extra cost that I don't think is well advertised when booking"

"Little hidden gem! Absolutely stunning property. As soon as you walk through the door it’s like stepping back in time. Stunning decor with lots of character and interesting items to look at around the property. Host was warm and welcoming when I arrived. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again and have already started recommending to friends."

The Windmill

"I took my wife to the windmill for 2 nights following a recommendation from my parents in law who had previously stayed and eaten there themselves and told us how good the food was. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent, we benefited from steak night on the Thursday and fish night on the Friday which meant we got some free drinks with our meals. The skate on Friday night was a real treat for my wife who loves fish! The staff were all friendly and attentive, with Oscar the head chef, going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our food. A ‘happy birthday’ dessert was a really nice touch to an already lovely stay. There is ample parking at the back of the pub and a really nice garden for warmer weather. Our room had a lot of character with wonky ceilings and floors but it’s what you would expect from an old building. The room itself was pristine in terms of cleanliness with everything you would expect to find in a hotel room. I can’t recommend the windmill enough, but it’s really the staff, regulars (who were very friendly also) and the food which are the stand outs) We will be heading back soon with our friend from Greece to give them the experience of a proper British pub!"

"The stay was amazing; we stayed for a night, and the staff was so helpful. Our sink wasn't working, and since it was late at night, they gave us the keys to the new room so we could use its bath. This level of service was so amazing. God bless the receptionist. Will definitely come again. Days Inn was a nice experience"

"Lovely staff, excellent restaurant and pub. Unfortunately, my room (The Periwinkle Room) had a not so good smell. Combined with no air-conditioning it made my stay fairly unpleasant and it was very hot inside the room. There is a fan located high attached to the wall but it really didn’t help much at all."

"Sincerely it was an experience I don’t want to repeat.The room wasn’t tidy. You can tell they only changed the sheets but didn’t properly clean the rooms. The fridge had a lot of food leftover, the cupboards had a lot of leftover groceries. Even the washing machine had a lot of laundry leftover from previous clients. There’s no toiletries please take your own. The room smelled so much like cigarettes that our clothes smelled like cigarettes.I booked two rooms for my family only for them to knock at 23:30 if we could give one of the rooms to two girls brought in by the police. I saw someone sitting for over 2 hours to check in but there was no one there and they were not picking the call."
