Room was dated especially bathroom. Cobwebs in bathroom and not clean. Waited ages to be served for evening meal and breakfast. Not surprised as only one member of staff on. Breakfast was cold. Poor selection. Brown bananas. Paid nearly £150 and would expect a lot better for that. On a positive the pool/spa was good but overall a really poor stay

this hotel is very rundown. The carpets are worn to a tread. The furniture is old and not just in the room hallway stairways walls ceilings all old and marked and stained major renovation required.

On arrival our booking was wrong. We had requested minimal stairs for my wife and a classic twin room. They had designated a double. We were given an upgrade to a suite. Great! but it was up a flight of stairs. In the end my wife managed them with a struggle. Problem apart this is a lovely hotel.

Will definitely stay again.

The reception/check-in staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice, spacious room with balcony. The warm welcome upon check-in made me realise that a lot of hotels have lost this personal touch.

Nice hotel , but when checking in on the evening I felt rather not wanted there , was looked up and down by the two lady’s on reception they didn’t tell me much other than here’s your key , I think it’s because I was in my workwear , but I still payed the same as everyone else there ? Won’t be staying again!… I’ve worked away for 20 years and stayed in a lot fancier hotels and been made to feel a lot more welcome. The lady on when checking out in the morning was lovely though

On arrival the room the room looked lovely, clean , spacious and the king size bed made nicely, but sadly the bed was broken , chambermaid must have known this as the bed was partially collapsed one side . Shame the hotel hadn’t bothered to replace it.

The staff at Frederick's was so helpful and friendly and personable. I felt very cared for and welcome, which is nice as traveling can be a bit lonely. The only reason I am not giving the property 5 stars is that the pool was under renovation, but it won't be next time I come back.

Convenient, clean and warm welcome

Great little hotel, spacious rooms, friendly welcoming staff. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on food. Only negative was the spa/leisure side was closed due to essential maintenance, which was only announced on the day of arrival.
