Probably the best hotel restaurant food and service I've had anywhere with stunning sunset views in the evening and the staff was incredible. "Unbelievable experience and stay. We stayed in Room 16 overlooking the city center. It was perfect to people watch. I had read previous reviews on the breakfast being disappointing. Nothing further from the truth. Everything is homemade and if you want eggs and bacon they cook it to order. Not to mention the view. Highly recommended staying. Only downside is the parking but not there fault."

"More of a retreat than a hotel. Comfortable and clean tastefuly furnished rooms. The friendliest, kindest and most helpful hosts you could wish for. Direct access to the Canterbury to Rome pilgrims' trail which provides a pleasant 90 minute walk to San Gimingano. Superb views in all directions. Be prepared for a steep, winding unmade 3k road to the hotel on arrival. It seems never ending but well worth the effort."
