"The property was clean. The Staff were helpful. The average patron here was 60 or older. The buffet was ok. You have to stay a certain number of nights ti be able to make a reservation at their other restaurants. I could hear the people in the next room. Would consider a hotel closer to the city center which would make it more walkable. There is access to the Formosa which has beach access as well as some cafe on the beach. "

"Enotel Lido is a 10 floor hotel centrally located 10 to 12 minutes by car from old Funchal. We stayed for 7 nights and were impressed with its housekeeping services, pristine grounds, and exceptional buffet menu. Each night was themed and there was an extensive vegetarian option. Lamb, chicken, duck, veal, shrimp and fish were outstanding. Desserts were incredible!! We plan to return as long as the chef doesn’t leave!! Thank you to all the staff for an unforgettable holiday!! ❤️ "

"This is not the Ritz Carlton, but it doesn’t have to be. Super staff, beautiful location on the edge of delightful little bay. Views to die for, pool, better than average breakfast. The furnishings are older, but not worn, and the place is very clean. Great value for money."
