The Perch - Riverfront, Starlinks WiFi & Hot Tub
Our beautiful A-frame cabin overlooks the Shenandoah River. It is ideally suited for couples or small families seeking the perfect mountain getaway, complete with unbeatable views. Our cabin is located on a beautiful bend on the Shenandoah river, complete with a picturesque view of the mountains in the background. There is much to explore outdoors, but the indoor space will keep you cozy when you want to kick your feet up.
The open concept floor plan allows for plenty of mingling and family time, but when it's time to turn down for the night, everyone will enjoy their own private areas.
The loft hideaway area is accessible by a ladder, which is perfect for small children to sneak away for their own movie time, but only under the supervision of an adult.
Prime location for canoeing, fishing, hiking & biking - the perfect escape to relax in the woods, on the water and to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Shenandoah.

We absolutely loved staying at The Perch and look forward to staying here again. The cabin itself was perfect for us and the location on the river cant be beat! We enjoyed seeing the heron and osprey while out in the canoe as well as each day from the comfort of the two rocking chairs and hammock near the river!
A wonderful little A-frame style cabin located right along a bend in the Shenandoah River and just 20 minutes from Luray! It was the perfect little weekend getaway spot to disconnect for a while and enjoy nature.
Great stay for a peaceful weekend getaway. Very clean and cozy cabin with wonderful views and plenty of amenities to stay busy. Will definitely make recommendations and a return visit.
The best escape that we could use have hoped for! Beautiful views and songbird symphonies in the morning. Had sunshine and a thunderstorm to enjoy, couldn’t have been a better stay!
Had a great time and made great family memories while enjoying the peace and quiet, and the beautiful fall weather on the Shenandoah river. The Perch provided the perfect cozy, quiet and relaxing spot for our family to unwind and enjoy nature!
We had a great time at the cabin. We canoed and waded in the river (bring water shoes!). We went to Luray Caverns, had nice bbq at Triple Crown BBQ. We utilized the fire pit both nights of our stay. 5/5 would stay again
The Perch was everything listed on the description! We enjoyed sitting down by the water, a fire in the fire pit and the hot tub. It was a bit of a drive from where we hiked, but it was well worth it for the views of the water.
It’s a remote and beautiful location on the river. We stayed two nights and spent the days in Shenandoah National Park. The late afternoons/evenings next to the river were peaceful and relaxing, and using the fire pit is a great end to a day of outdoor activity. The upstairs bed was very comfortable.
Great getaway with 2 adults, tween and child. There was enough room for all. The nook was a hit with the kids. The area was very quiet and relaxing. It snowed while we were there and the roads were plowed fast. House was very clean and well stocked. There was plenty of cookware and spices available. Would definitely come back.
Perfect sized house with adorable loft areas and rooftop porch. Nice fire pit and river access! Make sure the water is high enough before booking a stay that you plan on kayaking
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the perch. The location next to the river is great and the weather was wonderful. It’s only 30 min. from Shenandoah NP. However, the house is not as nice as it appears online. It’s old, with sulfur smelling water that turns everything yellow. In the fall, stink bugs swarm and baseball size fruit falls from 30 ft high all around. It’s a cute unique cabin though and we liked it, but I did feel it was overpriced for the condition it is in.

Drink of cool water on a parched soul
Amidst all the noise of life, the cacophony we all live with, which for me includes cancer treatment and 3 deaths in the past 9 months, the hammock of The Perch was exactly what my soul needed. Upon arrival, we parked ourselves at the rivers' edge to watch the osprey hunt. You have your choice of seats. Although you really wouldn't have to leave the hammock, we did the Hazel Waterfall hike in Shenandoah in the morning, ate a a great southern cooking diner in New Hope (I think?) then came back to the hammock for the rest of the day. I wish everyone had the opportunity to visit this oasis in the desert times of life.
Thank you so much.

I Could Live There
This place was absolutely amazing. We had two adults, two tweens, and our big labradoodle. The check-in was easy via a code and key. The house was clean and the AC was so cold. It felt great. The beds and pillows were comfy. Lots of towels and some throw blankets. We used the kitchen and fire pit to cook full meals. The dog enjoyed the screened in porch while we were in the yard. We spent all day by the fire pit and down at the river fishing. We were there during all the hurricane Helene storms so there was a lot of rain which caused a rough river. We were not able to go in the water but we watched so many logs washing down the river. The kids loved it. There is plenty of firewood. There were two chairs attached to the pier, a picnic table, and other stumps to sit on but we had brought our own canvas chairs. Overall it was a great stay and we would go back for sure!
All very nice. Gas in grilled I’d run out but management responded
