"The place had a great view but no sun on the deck (early October). The bed was a disappointment since it was a pullout sofa with 2 separate (very hard) beds. We did not realize we had to bring our own sheets and towels. Marcus arranges that we could walk to a ladies house and pay quite a bit of money to rent sheets for 3 days. "Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. "Great 180 view of lake with mountains opposite. Well appointed, fully equipped, and updated. There is a nice walking route connecting some nearby towns but you’ll want to drive to other towns for meals and outings (plenty enough close by) - not much in Colonno itself. The hillside is what gives you the view but also presents some “fun challenges” for street parking if the garage is not a good fit for for your vehicle size. "Good place to stay if your'e on a budget and want to be quite central in Lugano. You have a small balcony with the view of concrete walls. Sleeping in the sofa/bed works but of course not the best. If you are on the heavier side, you will feel the steel pipes on your back. Internet via Wifi did not work at all, sent a mail to the owner the same day I arrived, three days later still not working, however 5G worked really good, I had over 300 Mbit over 5G. "Our five days at the apartment was supposed to be rainy but ended up being warm and sunny every day. We loved being able to use the pool and the room was spacious and newly remodeled. The hosts were very accommodating and I enjoyed conversing with them. They provided me with tips on the area too. There was a nice bakery and a cortina restaurant a few minutes walk away. The pretty garden that surrounded the house was an extra bonus."
