"It was a quaint hotel. The staff were extremely friendly. We really appreciated Simon, the bartender, Victoria the manager, Katelyn and Angie as well. There were others I didn’t catch their names. The breakfast buffet was outstanding as was the restaurant. The location was perfect to be able to walk to City Centre. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore Salisbury and the surrounding countryside."

"Very comfortable hotel. Lovely location 5 min walk to cathedral. Room was a bit warm for our liking, as it was a top floor room and we had sunny weather. Dinner was excellent, breakfast was okay."

"The hotel is an old Georgian building and therefore reflected in the rooms and amenities. Lots of character and charm. However, this means no aircon and old fashioned door locks etc. They provide a fan but our room was still too warm. We stayed in April so the summer months could be tricky. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was well stocked. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion and lovely fluffy towels. Lots of tea and coffee. Coffee was high quality bags and not the nasty Nescafé granules you usually get. Lovely biscuits too. For breakfast I had a chocolate croissant which was great followed by a full English. Unfortunately this was a bit disappointing. Sausage tasted cheap and the bacon was streaky and not back which was quite tough. No black pudding and only one hash brown. Toast was described as whole meal but was just plain brown. We had lunch sat outside in the sun which was very nice. I can recommend the fish finger sandwich. Beer is excellent and the staff were super helpful and working incredibly hard."

"There was no lift and although staff helped me with my case,I still had to climb up and down to the 2nd floor. I had asked for a lower room because I have severe heart failure, despite having booked in January, there were many people, far fitter than me on the 1st floor. My room was clean but the curtain was not hanging properly. Many of the carpets need a clean, so did the big window on the stairs which was filthy with cobwebs, The garden needed tidying up, there were cigarette butts everywhere. The parking was perfect. Most of the staff were very helpful."

"We booked the hotel through Expedia for a cycle event in Wincanton. The location was perfect. Our room was huge and had an external door allowing access to the exterior. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked too. All staff were pleasant and sociable to us. Would happily stay again."

"The location was great, with friendly, helpful staff and rooms had everything needed albeit a bit basic and plug sockets seemed a bit scarce. Breakfast was in a lovely area and really good - nice touch bringing fresh eggs of your choice. I would suggest bringing toast too so they don’t go cold when waiting for toaster! Would recommend as a great base for short trip."

"Caravan was tired but very clean. Value good for what we paid. Excellent site, amenities are great, everything required to make our stay an enjoyable experience. Pool area very clean. All staff extremely helpful and polite. Great location. Would definitely recommend and would definitely visit again. Well done sandy balls 👏👏👏"
