"We booked this hotel some time ago for a stay while attending a wedding nearby. A few days before our arrival, the hotel contacted us to ask what time we expected to check in. When I advised that we would be arriving at approximately 9:30pm, I was informed that there would be a mandatory €60 late check-in charge. I disputed this, as I had not seen any mention of such a charge when booking. The response was surprising, with the suggestion that if we were arriving that late, perhaps we should stay somewhere else the night before. Finding the hotel was not particularly easy, as it is tucked away and not especially well signposted. However, there is street parking available nearby. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we were quickly shown to our room. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, although quite basic in terms of furnishings and facilities. We requested an iron, which the hotel was able to provide, but there was no ironing board available. The air conditioning worked well, and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep. Breakfast the following morning was unfortunately very disappointing. Although we arrived towards the end of the service, the selection consisted mainly of individual yoghurts, fruit, and a small assortment of meats and cheeses. If the products were locally sourced, they appeared no different from what could be purchased in a local supermarket. Overall, it felt extremely basic and well below what I would expect from a hotel."

"It is very natural to get lost on the winding alleys of Agrigento, but that is part of the fun of staying here. The property is very old, but very lovely and the rooms inside have been nicely updated. Very clean, very comfortable, and surprisingly quiet at night given how close it is to the main strolling part of town with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, cafes.. The breakfast provided was quite substantial compared to usual continental breakfast. My favorite tho, was the view from our room’s terrace. Spectacular!"
