"This was a simple, pleasant, modestly priced B&B, run by a pleasant young couple, in a historic neighborhood of Agrigento. It is about 2 miles from the Valley of the Temples, the 5C BC Greek temple complex. It is also within walking distance of “Ruga Reali”, a restaurant where we had one of the best meals of our 3 week Italy trip. There were several other nice looking restaurants in the town square as well. Finding Donna Teresa can be difficult. The iPhone map app struggled. It is better to key in these coordinates into the map app of your choice: 37.312183 N, 13.572448 E The real issue is parking. What Expedia described as “top-rated parking for a hassle-free stay” is actually on street parking in a dense urban neighborhood where you will be lucky to find a place. That’s pretty close to a lie, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t that nice young couple, whose English was basic, who came up with that wording. Plan on parking in the private paid parking garage about 300m away. Drop your bags off at the guest house first so you don’t have to roll them over 300m of cobblestone."

"The hotel itself is beautiful, spacious and super well located. There is no reception desk so it’s super important to look for the check-in instructions a few days before arriving. I unfortunately didn’t see them until I was in front of the door. Since I had not arranged for a check-in appointment I had to wait for the hotel to send someone to open the place for me and check me in; which they did without hesitation. The parking situation is challenging because the GPS takes you through a traffic restricted area to access the hotel which requires a pass or you get an expensive ticket. The app to get the pass is all in Italian and since you need to have your license plate you can’t get the pass until you get your rental car. This is the case in many Italian city centers and some hotels warn you and help you get the passes but not this one."

"Excellent locations! Very near train station; a bus stop to go to Valley if the Temple and a 5-min wall to Centro Storico. Air conditioning was fantastic; appreciated the split units in each room. Apartment was nicely appointed; lacking only a view to the sea. Our apartment was in a separate building which stopped us from enjoying roof top terrace at the main hotel. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Didn’t have breakfast included in our rate so can’t speak to it."

"This B&B is superb. The rooms are large, comfortable and well decorated. The staff who work here are also lovely and helpful - I struggled to park the car and they helped, including helping me to load. It was really appreciated. Can’t fault them. The B&B can be hard to find - best is to search for Piazza Lena, then try to find a parking space on the street!"
