"Most of Grand Lucayan is closed from hurricane Mathew but you don't know this until you arrive. All guests have to stay at Lighthouse point which is nice but with not nearly as many amenities. 2 less pools , less convenient dining options, the Casino never reopened. Some of the staff, outdoor bar. Towel hut, seemed to have lost that happy, helpful, attitude, one bartender was even rude everyday. "Oh my goodness, we walked in to the property and just loved it! Amazing Ocean themes, even the gorgeous bed clothes. Right outside was the pool and seating area, gorgeous!And the dock where you could sit and ponder the world, and the beauty of Freeport.
