I was hopeful for this listing as it was seemingly one of very few listings with an ADA compliance/standard… I even reached out to Nicholi (host) to MAKE SURE. He ASSURED me that ALL bathrooms were wheelchair accessible. This property is NOT ADA COMPLIANT AT ALL!There is NO WAY someone staying here in a wheelchair by themselves (or with limited aide) could use this house…much less, get inside. There is an approx 4-6” step up to front door & 4-6” step up from garage to interior house. There is a ramp in the backyard (if you can get the gate open) but the wooden planks are warped, raised and crooked. The transition ONTO the ramp as well as INTO the house was not smooth (gaps at both ends where a wheel will get stuck). The railing on the ramp wiggled 2-3” in either direction. NOT STABLE! Two of the three bathrooms we could NOT even get into because of a 23” opening. My mom has one of the smallest wheelchairs and we could not get through. I reached out to Nicholi and he offered that if we checked out by 11:00 that morning, he would refund the next two nights. Too late in the game to find housing for our family. He was unwilling to do anything beyond that. I claimed a grievance with VRBO and he did not respond whatsoever to their multiple communication attempts. Do NOT stay here if you are needing ADA access. The house was “clean enough”and minimal. The sheets and the toilets were clean, but don’t run your finger along any ledge. Ramps/handrails dont make a place ADA comp.
