What a great little hotel. Clean, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Nice to get a break from chain hotels and relax a little. Very cool library on sight.
A fascinating and enjoyable boutique hotel. It truly captures the feel of an early 1900s hotel but with modern amenities. Pictures you see in reviews are real - that’s what it looks like. Overall - a unique way to enjoy a rural historical West Texas town and region.
This Hotel has been preserved and decorated very tastefully. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. If you like old Hotels and history you will love this place.
Our second stay here, and we enjoyed it very much. Yes, trains do go by in the night, however for me it just sounds pleasant to hear them in the distance. The hotel feels very homey to me.
Older property and quirky but thoroughly enjoyed the stay. ( I was concerned when I saw that the building was only 2 blocks from a railroad crossing. But as it turns out, I barely noticed the horns of the locomotives.) we will stay there again.
What a treat! We slept in a comfortable bed in a clean room and enjoyed an excellent breakfast before hitting the road again. We look forward to our next visit.
