This is my most favorite place in Idaho (I almost don't want to share it, but please leave no trace and take care of our forest.) A 2 mile mostly flat trail takes you to the edge of the Sawtooth Wilderness area. You can hike or bike in (no bikes into the wilderness area.) A few downed trees may be on trail so beaware when riding bike. Directions- just before Redfish lake lodge, parking on left, trail on right.

"My family stayed two nights at this property and overall it was a good stay. The cabin itself was pretty clean with a few exceptions, but nothing too problematic. My guess is the cleaners missed a few things before we arrived because there was a lot of huge dust bunnies all over the place, the garbage was overflowing, and the laundry machine had half washed towels sitting in it. It is hard to see in the pictures, but privacy is one thing that is missing. The driveway for the property is shared...

"This cabin is everything a vacation rental should be. No details are left out. Top of the line amenities await you at this beautiful brand new cabin tucked into the trees. Our family spent the long weekend sledding, hiking and just hanging out by the beautiful fireplace and enjoying the stars in the hot tub. "Loved the house and area, road in kind of sucked for a one ton truck pulling a 20’ trailer but we did just fine once situated. Very quiet and full of game animals morning and evening ! Mid September and the local elk were all over, burgling and singing their song of fall. Would recommend to any one wanting a very comfortable remote cabin not far from town and the convinces of fuel, bars and great food. You need to check out the area back roads. Beautiful and serine. Huckleberry pickers would also benefit from this place as bushes are plentiful in the surrounding Boise forest. High recommendation from me and my friends. The company that services the rental is very helpful and it is a very pet friendly property! My dog loved watching the deer and turkeys every morning be fore I left for my gold mining claim in close by Placerville. Great place to explore and see the back country of the Boise basin!"

"The cabin was wonderful, and had everything we needed. It has a quaint feel that permeates for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The main upstairs bed was comfortable, and the fact that we could have our littlest dog with us was just what we needed. The location couldn't be better. It's right across the highway from rafting; it's very near the market; and you could walk into the town of Stanley if you were inclined. Beyond the cabin, the host was exceptional. I accidently forgot to pack my iPad upon our return home and located that I had left it behind at the cabin. She searched for it, found it, and sent it back to me, which truly was a blessing. When you're looking for a place to stay in Stanley, start your search here. You won't be disappointed!"
