I got the sense that some patrons that were staying at the location at the time of my stay were sketchy, but I would not dock the property for that as they have a number of procedures and policies in place to maintain safety and service above everything."

"This hotel is in a beautiful location, between the St, Mary's and Potomac rivers, on a narrow strip of land. Sunrise and sunset over the water are both spectacular. The rooms are very comfortable, and could probably use an upgrade at some point, but the rates are so affordable that this is a great and inexpensive getaway. The Ruddy Duck restaurant and bar next door is also delightful and reasonably priced. This hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway less than 2 hours from DC!"

"We had a great vacation at Hideaway! The house is so cozy and beautifully decorated. It was clean and fully stocked with supplies. There are so many amenities that we didn’t have time to use them all! (Kayaks, paddle board, game shed, crabbing, fire pits, pizza oven…) The owners have thought of everything you’d need or want, plus more! We loved the quiet beach and how close it is to the house. We can’t wait to return again!"

"we have stayed here more than once but this time we were not happy the pool wasn't open, they said it was under repairs, this should have been told to me when I called and I asked about the pool and they said yes, we have a pool, they should have said yes, we have a pool but its not open, not right, we will probably not stay there next year on our way to va beach, sad to say"

"From the moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed by two lovely young women. They were very friendly and chexk in was a breeze. The room was clean , well equipped and quiet. The facility well maintained. The continental breakfast was very good. We would stay again!"
