"Sweet little cabin in a pretty valley with lots of great outdoor activities and good food (if you know where to look - including the burgers at A Corner Mart). Really well appointed — well equipped kitchen, fluffy towels, a comfortable bed, grill, and deck. Fast WiFi for work or movies and a desk. Plus,
dog
bowls and furniture covers for the pooch. Had a great time and would stay again!"

Entire Cabin in Lost River w/ fire pit + pet friendly!

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (9)
"This is a spacious, well-equipped house in a quiet, peaceful location with great views from the upper porches and decks. We stayed eight days, hiking every day in a different location. There are many trails within an hour's drive in national forests and state
parks
. It wasn't a problem for us, but potential renters might want to note that the door to one of the three bedrooms, adjacent to the main hallway, is permanently open. (The room is small and the large bed means that there is no way to...

Lost River Swiss Cottage/10 acres/Private Dog Park/Streams

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (127)
"This property, location, and vibe was just perfect! My favorite thing about this charming and lovely house that accommodated two adults, four kids, and our 80 pound
dog
, was the super large screened in porch that overlooked the valley and the farmer's market. We started and ended our days in this room - coffee and books in the morning; dinner and board games in the evening, and then some amazing stargazing right before bed. The house is well stocked, cozy, with great beds, linens, and layout....

Mountain retreat! MODERN HOUSE 2 hours from DC

7.6 out of 10, Good, (4)
"AMAZING outdoor space, but no furniture to enjoy any of the decks. The house is a stunner in a great location, but the furniture is chintzy, cheap, and dirty. The bedroom in the “guesthouse” was dank and had a weird odor. Beds were comfortable, towels were miniature and lacking quality. The owners could make this a gem with some furnishing/linen investments, especially with all the good options around Lost River."
