This hotel appears to operate a deceptive scheme. Upon arrival, they demanded an additional significant sum for potential damages, which was not disclosed upfront. After payment, they claimed no rooms were available due to maintenance issues and refused a refund. This forced me to accept alternative accommodation, despite the hotel showing vacant rooms on Expedia.
Crucially, they marked me as "checked in," preventing me from canceling the booking. My assigned "room" was not in the hotel itself, but in a shared house at a different address, a significant downgrade from what was booked, and at an inflated price due to their added charge.
This establishment engages in highly questionable practices. I urge Expedia to investigate how such operations are permitted on their platform.
