Admittedly this is a work in progress but I have stayed in many hostelries throughout my lifetime and this is by far the best, from the welcoming staff to the friendliness of the residents. There is a large garden at the back where one can relax, chat to others, or simply have some “me” time if you like. Forget the work in progress element, just use your imagination and you could easily be in the Garden of Eden.

Staff was friendly and helpful but the room was filthy. The floors were sticky, the wallpaper was peeling and the tv was practically falling out of the wall. It was also very dusty, the baseboards were practically black with dust.

The staff were friendly when they were there, and the hotel was only a 10 minute walk from a tube station. However, their website says free parking and we were charged £10 to park. The room looked nothing like what was advertised and we booked a king and the bed deffinatly wasn't a king. When we came out of our room this morning at 8:30ish we were surprised to find a bag that had urine in/on it and a lump of poo on the landing at the top of the stairs. When we returned to check out and leave, they were still there at 11 and there were no staff around for us to make them aware of this.

Awful place, should be shut down by standards agency. I sent my 2 sons to stay for 2 nights there (they are used to sleeping rough). Even they were appalled at the place. There were no staff around, doors were open, room door wasn't safe as they just pushed the door open when they arrived. No toilet paper in the room. Wardrobe was broken, Holes in the ceiling and walls in the room. Booked a room with a king bed, which was a large single/small double. I booked them for the 2nd night into Hampton by Hilton, which was beautiful and included breakfast and was cheaper. I rang the hotel but they refused to refund for the 2nd night, I didn't even try for the 1st night.

The staff was exceptionally helpful, warm welcoming and a good guide. Great, peacefully place to stay just outside of the main city but an easy 10 minute walk to the Elizabeth Line/Underground tube stations with easy access to shopping.
