This place seemed to be relatively newly updated- sort of. It felt very much like someone trying to make a quick buck rather than a business opportunity and investment property. For example, the "bedframes" were all hand made and unsanded/stained/finished. The sheets were a Walmart $5 special, so were the cushions on the deck chairs. There were many items at the house that made us wonder if these people just grabbed a bunch of random furniture/housewares and said- "Sure! Throw it in the rental house!" Broken plastic adirondack chairs by the fire pit, etc etc. Just like duct taping everything together just to get by. Hopefully I have enough examples that you get what I'm saying.
The cleanliness was definitely not good. Admittedly, we probably keep a cleaner home than many young families. But- we do have kids and are still human! There were cobwebs ON THE WALLS. Not just one web or one wall. There was toilet paper "dust" caked onto the TP holder and stuck to much of the wall behind the toilet. Door opening/closing is not quiet on most doors- moms, I know this matters! Floors are also not quiet. No fault of the owners but I know that can matter for some with young, napping kids. 1 of the 3 bedrooms had to use a doorstop to keep the door closed. House definitely has some leveling issues but- probably not the owner's fault either.
Overall, would we be back? Probably not. We survived & still enjoyed ourselves but, we paid enough to stay here that we definitely expected better.
