"In need of a complete makeover! Smelly, dirty, elevator of death, slanted stairs, toilet barely flushes, no ventilation, disaster of a «bar» - no ice or wine. Just horrible all together, except for nice personell and location. "

"The Metropole is a reminder of the glory days of Llandrindod, a big Victorian hotel that has changed little over the years. The food is generally good and plentiful and the service is very good. The spa is worth a visit, the facilities are very good, especially the pool area. The hotel is starting to look a little shabby again, but is clean and tidy. We have been staying here for years and will come back again. "

10/10 Excellent

"The staff were so helpful, couldn't do enough for us. The food was out of this world, so tasty and beautifully presented. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a huge walk in shower. There was a kettle and a wide variety of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits too. We both slept well. The curtains were blackout so weren't disturbed by the light either."
