"We got put into a different property than the one in the pictures however it was a lovely spacious place to stay. It had a balcony with a roof so we could sit out even in the rain. It had an inflatable hot tub which was different to the one in the pictures as the one in the pictures was a normal hot tub however this wasn’t an issue. "On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome, shown to our lovely Shepherds Hut, it was clean and tidy, nothing was too much trouble for us. The pub was so welcoming, and the food was just amazing, good home cooked food! Overall we had a lovely, peaceful weekend with our collies, lots of walks and fresh air, good food and wonderful accommodation. We would definitely recommend and will most definitely stay there again."

"We had a really fantastic night at the Shepherds Hut! Its a truly stunning setting and very well appointed little hut, the gas fire is great and the underfloor heating gives some real comfort! "The shepherds hut is in a beautiful rural position with excellent views. It is extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable. You have a lovely terrace, a garden area with a picnic table and fire pit. With peacocks and alpacas to watch it really is a fantastic rural experience. The owners Carol and Don are really helpful and friendly. We would certainly return and recommend."

"This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). "We stayed here the weekend just gone (May 10th 24) as a surprise for my 40th birthday. It was peaceful, pretty and private. The setting was stunning and even had a few sheep near by. The cabin was great with everything we needed to make our stay a good one. We met the owner who made sure we were ok and pointed us in the direction of a tasty meal at the Sun Hotel. Would fully recommend if looking for a completely chilled few days. Can’t wait to stay again : )"

"This property is stunning . The breakfast is excellent. Cleanliness is top class . Staff are welcoming and very pleasant people. Grounds are kept immaculate by the grounds staff - who deserve a special mention for their excellent efforts . My minor negative is that , although the evening meals are excellent and tasty , the menu needs at least one “ Today’s special” on it that changes Daily .. as after 2 nights we had both used our options up on the very restricted choice menu - and so we had to eat out in the locality to try for something different and so not repeat ourselves. "
