This place is a little gem, perfectly located to explore Northern Spain, with a backdrop of the Picos de Europa and just a few minutes drive from the very nice seaside town of Llanes and its many beautiful beaches. This is a small, family-run hotel and the owners cannot do enough to help with any request or assistance you may require - nothing is too much trouble for them. "Great hotel. Lovely room overlooking the mountains with a small balcony. No air conditioning but the ceiling fan above the bed was very good. Reception staff are very friendly as are the bar staff. You can hire electric bikes from the hotel and they are very good quality. Car park is big and everything walking distance. Beach is very nice and old town is lovely. "

"We loved our stay at Hotel Puerte del Oriente! We booked last minute and wanted to be well located to take advantage of beaches or the mountains. The location is beautiful-close to Llanes for accessing more restaurants and services, but far enough off the busy track to feel very pastoral and relaxing. Our host was very welcoming, the room was very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious! We wished we could have stayed longer in this peaceful place."

"The hotel, once found, was well situated on the outskirts of the village of Nueva de Llanes in Asturias, suitable for exploring Asturias. Unfortunately both sat nab and Google maps takes you to an apartment building in the village.
