"The Parkland doesn’t look like much from the outside, but we were in 102 and were happily surprised. Ours was an accessible room (unnecessary), but the shower was great, comfortable beds, plentiful pillows, lots of coffee. Shower amenities were good and surprise of surprises…a Kleenex box beside the bed and in the bathroom… that never happens! We didn’t try the restaurant or the bar."

"Clean, friendly, and very accommodating staff. Our room was on the small size and was (there are larger rooms particularly with a larger bathroom) comfortable. If in Alma we would consider staying at this motel again."

"Just be aware there is no railing except at the top of the steps. It was a little scary. Other than that the property was excellent. My husband was picking wild blueberries for breakfast. It is rustic, but you have everything you need."

"We loved our stay at this off grid cabin. We looked for somewhere to stay near Hopewell Rocks and on our way to Fundy National Park. This was such a unique restful place my husband wanted to just stay there and not leave the property. But we did make a day trip to Hopewell and it was excellent. I contacted the owner before we arrived to check on what was available for cooking . She was very quick to respond and we found all the basics were covered. Bbq was great , coffee was supplied, using a slow drip individual cup system. We had been travelling for 3 weeks mainly staying where we couldn’t cook. So it was a nice change . The only thing we hadn’t thought about was our electric cooler we had been travelling with. We found a close store where we bought ice to add to it . There was a small power unit available to charge our phones and run a floor lamp . Lots of battery lights around and solar lights outside . The bathroom is spacious and the incinerator toilet is fine with the owners taking care of running it after we left . We also used the small wood stove to just take off the chill when we first arrived. Nice and cosy. If we lived closer it would be a great weekend retreat now and then."
