"A lovely hotel in a perfect location for visiting tourist sites, shopping areas & socialising, spacious bedroom with large comfortable bed & all the amenities you could wish for, loved the toiletries, the duck is a nice touch, water supplied in fridge appreciated as was the coffee and biscuits, all staff we met were friendly, good breakfast (full Scottish was tasty) but continental also provided, would recommend this hotel"

"Overall I was quite happy with our stay at Point A. I’ll start off by saying the staff was wonderful and friendly and helpful. We loved our room and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great. Close to Haymarket and no more than a 15-20 min walk to all that Old & New Town Edinburgh has to offer. My one complaint that prevents me from 5 stars across the board is this. In other hotels I’ve stayed at in the UK, coffee and tea has either been available to hotel guests all day, or there has been a kettle in the room to make tea. After a day of sightseeing I wanted nothing more than to head back to my room and enjoy a cup of tea in front of the telly. Instead, I had to pay for tea in the lobby. Other than that one little thing, I’d stay at this hotel again the next time I’m in Edinburgh."

"This property was wonderful... and the staff, even better! Great location! Would certainly stay here again in the future. My only complaint would be that the room felt a bit warm. I searched the room for a thermostat or way to adjust the temperature, but found nothing. Maybe I just didn't know where to look... haha! But my husband and I were able to crack the window to let in some cooler air. Also, there was a fan provided in the room."

"Arrived about 9. Received a lovely welcome from the young lady at reception. Room was clean and comfortable. Slept very well and had a nice cooked breakfast in the morning. Didn’t have time to use the facilities unfortunately. Got this room for a bargain price. Great value. I have no hesitation in saying that due to the excellent service I got, I will definitely consider returning to this hotel."
