"Beautiful location. Everything was clean and well kept. Check-in was confusing as there was no staff. We drove around for a while until we found a basket with my name on it and a key. The shared bathrooms were nicely kept. Great pool. Great location. Would highly recommend "

"A lovely, comfortable, historic property with friendly staff. We especially appreciated the call we received from them while en route, making sure we were on a safe path and not driving into dangerous, flash-flooded roads. The dining area was accessible during non-breakfast hours, making a microwave, wine glasses, etc. available if needed. We also enjoyed the modern art pieces throughout the property. Thank you, hotel Giles for a pleasant stay for our anniversary (and for the card with well-wishes)!"

"We made our reservation before one of the most deadly flooding event in Texas history. The town was devastated. We only had 1 night reserved and after the flood, we contacted the Hotel to see if they would need us to cancel our reservation to allow for access by Emergency responders. They said it was ok so we kept it. The town was loaded with strangers but everyone we encountered were gracious and helpful, I was grateful to have been able to experience the small amount of the crisis that they were going through. May God Bless each and every one of them and hopefully my next visit there will be under more relaxed circumstances."
