I loved Lima. Such a great city with amazing history. I felt safe at all times. The people were very friendly. So many great restaurants. Be cautious with roads and traffic - v busy and hectic/chaotic. Agree taxi fares up front. Avoid buses.

Lima, is a fun city. Lots of landmarks and historic buildings at the historic city center to explore. It is typically cool in the early mornings and evenings at least while we were visiting. The Chinatown was bustling with activity.

Amazing food in Lima, good service (much better than in Santiago, Chile), loved being close to the ocean. Traffic is pretty bad, as is the air pollution from it. I spent a total of 3 weeks in Lima and I'd come back again.

Lima has everything, the food is incredible. Transport is crazy but you'll always find a bus! Use Ubers for taxis to be safe and always be aware of your belongings. Don't use your mobile phone in the street. It CAN be robbed from you.

Food quality is good. Peruvian food tends to be more sour but very flavourful. People are friendly and safer than what the media reports. Walking in Miraflores and historic city centre in day and night felt safe.
