This unusually spacious ground floor holiday apartment, in a quiet spot with private entrances, is ideal for a relaxing holiday or short break on the Suffolk Coast with picturesque Aldeburgh and Thorpeness close by. Interiors are beautifully furnished and equipped with a sociable open-plan living/kitchen/dining room, two double bedrooms and a luxury bathroom.
LIVING SPACE
At the heart of this quality contemporary holiday home is a spacious and sociable living/kitchen/dining room with wooden floors, beautiful beams and a wood burner in the brick fireplace with a generous sofa, chairs and occasional tables positioned to relax with a good book or watch the TV.
The stylish kitchen sits in one corner of this large room, housing a slimline dishwasher, electric oven with hob and extractor, an under counter fridge, plus the toaster and kettle. A handsome table and chairs are in the other corner for catering at home or simply enjoying a takeaway, with plenty to choose from in town!
This living space opens into the rear hall/utility room and back door leading through the courtyard to Valley Road car park, the front hall and front door to the high street and both bedrooms.
REAR HALL/UTILITY ROOM
Accessed from the back of the apartment and leading through the living space with doors to the bathroom and cloakroom. There’s a washing machine here, a freezer and plenty of room for groceries, push chairs, footwear etc.
FRONT HALL
Yet more space with a console table and access to the high street.
MAIN BEDROOM
A light and airy double aspect room with a super king size bed which can be split into twins if you prefer (be sure to let us know when you book please). Two large wardrobes give plenty of hanging and shelf room to unpack and settle in.
INDIAN BEDROOM
Light streams into this lofty room through sky lights in the high ceiling, and the stunning original Indian wall hanging behind the double bed and the handsome wardrobe immediately catch your attention. Bedside tables sit on either side of the bed and there’s an additional wardrobe in the alcove with ample space for your clothes.
BATHROOM
A generous and pretty bathroom with a feature bath with central taps, a wet room style shower with hand shower attachment, a wash basin, WC and natural light.
OUTSIDE
Old Printing Press is in the heart of Leiston with plenty of shops, eateries, a park, the amazing Edwardian picture house (cinema), and even a leisure centre within walking distance. Seaside towns and villages of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Sizewell, Dunwich and Southwold are just a short drive away. There’s no allocated parking for this apartment but you can park in the public car park at the back on Valley Road and walk through the courtyard.
Whilst this is a ground floor apartment the doors are a standard size and there's no grab rails in the bathroom, so it's not catered for guests in a wheelchair.
