"Comfy bed, excellent breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Room was very warm, but there was a fan and opening window. We asked for a room near the lift due to my wifes COPD when booking some weeks ago, but ended up a long way down some corridors which spoilt our visit. "

"It's lovely to stay at an independent hotel rather than one of the chains, and this hotel retains the age and character of it's surroundings. Our room was large and comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. From the quirky staircases to the charasmatic manager, this was a joy to stay in. Breakfast was outstanding, definately not the greasy help yourself job that is so common now. Parking is a little challenging, especially if your car is on the longer side, but that just reflects the...

"very friendly ladies at the front desk. Room was very clean, and my only gripe was that the Body/Hand wash dispenser in the shower was empty - nobody likes getting out of the shower to find soap from the sink. Restaurant was great. As an American, Nescafe does not count as morning coffee though!"
